Building to a fixed date
Formalwear built for a specific date removes the flexibility a made-to-measure order otherwise has — there is no room to push a fitting back a month, so the showroom is direct about what a given lead time can and cannot accommodate.
The approval and deposit process is the same as for any made-to-measure order: nothing is cut until the specification and price are agreed, even under a deadline.
For a wedding party or similar group, come in together where possible — coordinating fittings on one schedule is far easier than reconciling several separate ones close to the date.
What is included
- Formalwear orders are booked with the event date up front so fittings can be scheduled with margin before it.
- Fabric and detail choices for formalwear follow the same approval process as any other made-to-measure order.
- Group orders — a wedding party, for example — are coordinated on a shared timeline where possible.
Conditions
- A fixed event date means booking early matters more here than for other orders; the showroom states an honest timeline for your date.
- Changes requested close to the event date may not be possible before it — this is stated at the fitting, not discovered afterwards.
- Group orders are still individually measured; a shared date does not mean a shared size.
