A deposit is taken once you approve the written specification and price for your order, not at the first appointment. It confirms the order and goes toward the final price.

An alteration adjusts a broadly correct piece; a remake means the build did not match what was approved and is rebuilt. Surmesur assesses which applies in person — see the Alterations and remakes page.
